OUR STORY
Mission Lures was created in 2022 by Jack Flynn and Ethan Stoops.
Growing up in Northern Michigan, we both shared a passion for fishing big game fish. Trolling was the only way we knew how to fish, but after years of unsuccessfully trolling over uninterested fish, we knew it was time to change our methods. One summer, we had an epiphany - why not target the big schools of fish through vertical jigging? We were hooked after just one trip! It was the most engaging type of fishing we had ever experienced. The rush of seeing a school of fish on the graph, dropping down, hooking up instantly, and fighting them on light tackle was incredibly addicting.
After weeks of experimenting with different vertical jigging spoon types, we discovered a huge deficiency of high-quality, made in the U.S.A. products. We made it our mission to create the best vertical jigging spoons ever made with unrivaled super-glow colors.
In 2022, we began production after making several refinements to make the most effective jigs possible. We focused on various hook configurations, lure colors and combinations, total weight and body shape, and enhanced processes for increased durability and product life. Our Vertical Jigging Spoons and Jig Heads now come in an wide variety of effective colors and sizes.
All Mission Lures products have been tested and proven to be highly effective in the Great Lakes Region. Our lures are currently handmade in our workshop on Old Mission Peninsula, ensuring that each product is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Where are Mission Lures made?
All Mission Lures products are proudly made in Traverse City Michigan! Each unique lure is completely handcrafted and packaged in our small manufacturing facility. We prioritize "Made in the USA" and ensure all components are sourced in the U.S. except for our extremely sharp French made VMC hooks.
What are acceptable payment methods?
